About Vegan Radar

Vegan Radar is a free tool that tells you whether a food product or brand is vegan, and shows you the evidence behind every answer. Search any product, get a clear verdict, and see the ingredients and sources we checked to reach it.

Why we built it

Checking whether something is vegan usually means squinting at an ingredient list, decoding E-numbers, and second-guessing vague “may contain” lines. We wanted that to take seconds, and to be transparent enough that you don’t have to take our word for it. Every verdict links to its sources so you can verify it yourself.

Sources, not guesses

We combine ingredient data from public food databases with vegan certifications and a sourced web check, then merge it all conservatively, the label always wins over a marketing claim. Read the full methodology for exactly how a verdict is formed and what each level means.

On your phone

Vegan Radar also comes as an iOS app, scan a barcode in the store and get the same sourced verdict on the spot.
